Zeke Ragsdale Super Mario Bros. is one of the great videogame classics. The Super Mario Bros. tune is more familiar to more people than any popular song. This page lists codes to use the Game Genie to spark up new areas of exploration in this great game.

Bizarre Level Codes:
PIGPOG - THE BEST CODE! Randomly changes placement of enemies. Example: fight Kupa and find Princess Toadstool on level 1.
XVXOKK - Similar effects to PIGPOG above.
SSSAPE - Drunk Mario.
PGPPOG - Level 1-1 underwater. 1-2 is an underwater tree level. After that just gets too wierd...
APZPUG - Similar to PGPPOG above.
APZPEG - Never ending water level.
APZPOG - Underwater, randomly changes placement of enemies, earthquakes.
SIPPOG - Screwed up underwater levels.
OSTPGP - Randomly changes placement of enemies. Pipes take you to strange versions of level 8.
POGAKA - Everything but enemies are invisible.
ZOTPOG - Hammer bros. and jumping turtles galore.
UUPOGS - Changes around stationary objects and add big pits.
GEGEIE - Screen convulses, enemies made of Kupa parts, and screwy objects. Gives you a nice big headache.
AKAPIG - Bricks in air. Jump at the very beginning to survive.
SOSAKA - Long strings of coinboxes and axes. Some are not there.
AKAPOG - Blue oblivion.
POGAAI - Illusion land.
ZIGAEP - Mega purply crazed level.
EKGAIS - Bright colors.
POGAAI - Underwater colors.
AAAPAK - Climbing madness: Vines everywhere.
APESSS - Walk on invisible surfaces.
PKPOKK - Clouds replace bricks, star music.
IPEPNY - Fire in 1-1.
NPEPNY - Bullet Bills in 1-1.
KPEPNY - Flying Fish in 1-1.
OPEPNY - Lakitu in 1-1.
SNAPEL - Peach splotches for bricks, strange pipes, wierd music.
APZPVG - Mixed up enemies
EATOZS - Never ending wall.
SIPPNG - Bowser's castle's underwater.
SIIPKK - Weird level 1.
SPEPNG - Weird level 2.
SPPPNK - Weird level 3.
PIPOIS - Weird level 4.
PGAPGG - Weird level 6.
AAPOTS - Wierd level 7.

Firepower Codes:
ISTLLT - No fireballs.
IOTLLT - Wrapping fireballs.
SEXLLT - Shooting a fireball teleports you to the top of the screen.
IOTLLT - Invisible fireballs that make enemies everywhere vanish.
TOPLLT - Acid fireballs that eat through the ground.
GKPLLT - Fireballs keep exploding on what they hit.
SEGSEG - Jumping through blocks gives you firepower and changes sky color.
KILLLT - Shoots 2 fireball burst.
STPTVI - Fireballs explode for longer.
TIEEZT - Start out small with firepower.
SENEPP - Lakitu appears in the first level and no Goombas.
POZLLT - Fireballs from different vertical.
PONEYS - Mario doesn't wear firepower clothes.
KIZLLT - Small Mario can shoot fireballs, but only while moving.
KISLLT - Hold fireballs in Mario's mouth before he spits them out.

Stationary Objects Codes:
AISSON - Walk through any solid wall.
APEPAK - Long strings of coin boxes.
AZAPAK - Longer strings of coin boxes.
AGELES - Hit bricks disapear. Blocks act like vines to strange warp zones.
PIOISS - Left side of objects behave like coins.
KILPAK - Changes location and of objects and how they look.
EONPAK - Walk through pipes and walk on clouds.

Ground Codes:
AEEPAK - No ground.
AEYPAK - No ground, but it looks like it is there.
SEEKIT - Ground is one block lower. Enemies fall through.
AZIPAK - Ground of two types of brick.
AXEPAK - Ground of pipes.
EOAPAK - Ground of vines.

Boxes Codes:
GELLOS - Boxes do not give anything.
OPEAOZ - Black coin boxes.
ZXLUUU - Rain coins.

Background Codes:
AAOPAK - No background.
SIKPAK - Screwed up background.
EONAKA - Background is a mess.
KOPPOK - No hills nor bushes.
TONPAK - Some objects in background are solid.
YYOPAK - Only couds.

Mario/DuckHunt Select Codes:
XXXAKA - Only play Duck Hunt.
PEOAAA - The game goes directly to Duck Hunt.
ZVZEIE - Pressing start resets.

Sound Codes:
NLLNYY - "Preschool" rap.
STOPGO - No music.
PIEPGO - Always star music.
ZYZYVA - No bass.
LYUNIT - When Mario hits a brick it will goes on crackling for a while.
POZYYN - Squeaky music.
PTZYYU - Buzz noise on pause.
SENYYL - Fireball sound when Mario jump's.
ZYZYXA - Random notes.
STLYNY - Tiny bit mixed up music.
LIONEY - Fart noise when Mario jumps.
KAEPYO - Water music all the time.
PTEPYP - Dungeon music all the time.
YYAPYO - Koopa castle music all the time.
TPEPYO - Star man music all the time.
GGAOAP - There is usually no music.
STANLY - Jazzed up back ground music.
TZEPYO - Low back ground music.
ZZAYGN - Beepy music.
STPYYY - Flat music
AVVOAE - Koopa castle music when you are outside, not in a dungeon or a water level.
GVVOAE - Dungeon music when you are outside, not in a dungeon or a water level or a castle.
TVVOAE - Circus music when you are outside.
IVVOAE - Cool music.
STINLY - The music changes.
STONLY - The music starts and stops.
STLNLY - Crazy space jazz.

Coin/CoinBox Codes:
POGUUU - Floating coins.
OYUASX - Glowing coin boxes.
PAOEPO - Coin boxes blink faster.
SEPUEG - Hit a mushroom block and watch your score soar.
OPEANU - Coin boxes break & turn invisible!
LUNLLT - Enemies pop out of fireflower boxes rarely.

Jump Codes:
STVLLL - Frogger: Can only jump.
LUYLUN - Wrapping moon jump and upward raining coins.
XUYLNN - Will not drop from jump until let go of 'A'.

Mushroom Codes:
POSTIT - Retarded evasive mushrooms.
LUGLUG - Mushrooms and stars lug around.
LUILUI - Mushroom counts as star.
UUOSEG - Blocks jump when hit, mushrooms shoot downward, and Mario moves retarded when big.
LUKLUK - Mushrooms and stars stay put.

Enemy Codes:
EAKKPO - No enemies.
SUEISA - Enemies count as fireflowers.
PNVKEE - Monsters sneak up behind you, appear out of nowhere, and fall out of the sky.
PSOSEA - The enemies are part of the background. Sometimes the flowers hurt Mario. Star hits Goombas.
AENKKA - Frozen enemies.
STAGEO - Enemies throw hammers.
POEISO - Goombas change to invincible koopas when jumped on.

Mario Codes:
PIGOAP - Swim in air.
SZLIVO - Stay big, keep fire - even when it doesn't look like it.
POSTEN - 360 jumps and moonwalks.
AUNTXY - Mario's feet spin when he runs off of a platform.
TIEEZT - Shadow Mario.
IIAAZT - Always look like fire Mario.
POSTOY - Scrambled mario.
POSTON - If Mario is facing forward then he's Luigi, if Mario's facing backwards then he's orange Mario.
AENKKA - Frozen enemies.
AAATIO - Only mario moves.

Miscellaneous:
VAXPOG - Changes the order of levels.
KILLLU - Once you get big and jump, you are warped to the next level. You keep warping through levels and negative levels until the game freezes up.
POGPIE - Moving objects that Mario touches follow him.
POGPIG - Tubes to oblivion.
NSSIEE - Kick squashed Goombas like turtle shells.
TITEIE - Laser show.
KILLEN - Mario and enemies move fast and lurch around.
ASTLUN - 'A' kills Mario.
OKZAPO - Every button pauses.
APYEVY - Billions of points awarded. Timer is simply huge.
SANAPO - Play with the gamed paused.
KALZSN - Siezure world.
AEAZVY - Moving backwards causes Mario to warp forwards in the level.
TEAPYE-IPEPYE-SOAPYA - Objects are displayed along as Mario walks.
LLLLUY - Wind blowing against Mario.
OPEALY - Displays "TIME OUT" on each level.
OOOSEG - If you hit a brick a few times, Mario is teleported miles and miles into the sky and it takes him a long time to drop. Mario can move while falling. While Mario is up there, the timer is stopped. Blocks bounce when hit. Hard to move when big.
ELVISS - Mario is doomed to slide forward.
KKPOGE - Meltdown: Game blinks and slows down, then locks up.
